Staffing
We have a recruitment policy which ensures that staff are employed following a strict code which ensures your child is cared for by an appropriately experienced member of staff who has appropriate training/qualifications, good references, health clearance and a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.  This policy is available for anyone to see at the Nursery (along with all the policies and procedures for the Nursery).

Welfare Requirements
In our setting we maintain the ratio of adults to children in the setting that is set through Ofsted (the 'Welfare Requirements'). Children aged 2 to 3 years are supported in groups of no larger than 4 children to one adult. In the older age group (3 to nearly 5 years old) the group size will be no larger than 8 children per adult and will normally be 1:6. This helps us to:

1. give time and attention to each child;
2. talk with the children about their interests and activities;
3. help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide; and
4. allow the children to explore and be adventurous in safety.

We welcome volunteer parent helpers to further complement these ratios and have a volunteer policy to ensure volunteers can deliver their role effectively too.
